Friends of Greenfield School is the name for the Parent Teachers Association for Greenfield School, Woking. Run by a committee of volunteer parents, FroGS is an opportunity for stakeholders to come together and support the school; welcoming new families, fundraising and aligning ourselves with the schools role within the wider community.
The current tenure for a committee is 2 years. Your committee took responsibility for the charity in October 2018 and are keen to support Greenfield School and it’s community of parents and teachers as the school continue to thrive and grow.
Please contact email@example.com or look out for us at school!
Zoe might look 29 but she is in fact 102. As a veteran parent (rumours are she has put 7 children through Greenfield) Zoe has plenty of ideas about how to make PTA life more fun and less work.
Zoe runs FroGS as our Chairperson, Jog with Frogs, Joglet with FroGlets and has trained a number of the residents of Woking at the local leisure centre where she is a spin instructor.
Chief Frog will always be found in her running gear, occasionally with cake and always with smiles. Please tell her your best joke if you see her.
Katie is Company Secretary for FroGS and has been an active member of the PTA since her affiliation with the school. Katie also runs the annual and perpetually SOLD OUT quiz night.
Katie is an enthusiastic purveyor of beverages at our events and a fountain of knowledge on a good old fashioned bargain.
Katie owns Surrey Night Nannies and reliably keeps us all organised and sane. Just don’t call her MRS.
One day Katie hopes to have a named parking space!
Okay, this is really another picture of Zoe but it’s too good not to put up!
I am the current Treasurer for Friends of Greenfield School. As someone who moved to the area when my children were born, I enjoy the community that the school offers my children and the parents network that has helped me settle in to Woking. You will spot me most days in my running gear thanks to Zoe!
As treasurer, I have worked with Zoe and Katie to help make the PTA more accessible to the families connected with school by creating this website and introducing card readers. I’d like this to function as a platform to make it easier for people to organise events with the school.
As the academic year draws to a close, we would like to thank the parents and teachers for an outstanding year of events, community and support. We have enjoyed welcoming families to the new termly coffee morning, enjoyed our first Joglet with Froglet event and Movie Night. The committee are fortunate to have taken over from the charity at a point of financial strength and hope to continue the good work of those before us. We have made some considerable changes to the schedule of events this year and will continue to do so in 2019-2020 as we move to the new site.
